Intact clean condition dust jacket with slight creasing to edges, some rubbing and signs of handling. Intact DJ spine with library sticker to bottom DJ. DJ within protective Mylar sleeve. Dust Jacket over good condition brown cloth boards with removed library sticker to bottom spine board cover. 327 clean, slightly off white pages of English text with some b&w photo plates, illustrations and b&w battle maps within text, plus 2 colour illustrations. No inscriptions. Birmingham Library sticker to inside front blank page. Library stamps to inside publication page, bottom page 326 and back leaf. Some slight creasing to some inside pages. Synopsis of Tales of the Mountain Gunners:

Whilst not a regimental history this is an anthology of stories told by those who served in or knew well Mountain Artillery, one of the most unusual and colourful military units ever formed in the long history of the British Empire that was celebrated in Kipling’s poem ‘Screw Guns’.
