Booklover Oxford is a conscientious and trustworthy UK based independent second-hand book business established in 2006. We sell in the UK and internationally, quality second-hand books on all subject matters and back-issue American comics. In 2012 we moved away from our Oxford ‘bricks & mortar’ shop to concentrate on our online business.
The owner of Booklover Oxford Julian Tester has been buying and selling books since 1996. Julian has been an avid collector of books on many subject matters for his own interest since leaving school. It was in 1995 that the ‘penny dropped’ that he could continue his love for book collecting and source others with their books from a fellow ‘booklover’.

We aim to provide an answer to queries within 24 hours of receiving an email.
We use PayPal as the ‘third party payment provider’ for our website payment transactions. All major credit and debit cards are accepted including Visa, Maestro, MasterCard, etc. This means you do not give any sensitive bank account or credit or debit card details to this website, but all your details are processed safely & securely off our site via the PayPal website. Note: you can still use the shopping cart even if you do not have a PayPal account, as the PayPal website will show an option for completing a transaction as a ‘guest visitor’.

POSTAL/SHIPPING CHARGES AND DELIVERY
Postal/shipping charges are calculated at the checkout after the delivery address has been input.
Delivery can be to any address as long the address at which your payment card is registered is also present on your order. Please ensure your POSTAL/SHIPPING address is stated at the time of purchase.
You will always be able to see this TOTAL COST of your purchases including delivery charges before submitting your order.
UK only (FREE POSTAGE/SHIPPING): parcels to be delivered within the UK (and also Guernsey and Jersey):
will normally be delivered via Royal Mail First or Second Class post, however delivery may take up to five working days.
Europe Small Parcels (A fixed international postage fee of £7.00 per book or item will be added at the checkout. However if the items/orders (excluding postal fees) are over the amount of £150.00 then Free Postage will be offered.
Parcels to be delivered to European countries (excluding UK) will normally be posted via Standard Airmail.
International Small Parcels outside Europe (Excluding United States US) (A fixed international postage fee of £12.00 per book or item will be added at the checkout. However if the items/orders (excluding postal fees) are over the amount of £250.00 then Free Postage will be offered.
International Small Parcels to United States (US) (A fixed international postage fee of £15.00 per book or item will be added at the checkout. However if the items/orders (excluding postal fees) are over the amount of £250.00 then Free Postage will be offered.
Parcels to be delivered to countries outside Europe will normally be posted via Standard Airmail. Larger heavier orders over 2Kg may be sent via Surface Mail and may take much longer to be delivered, up to 60 days (this will depend upon the cost of the item against the cost of airmail).
If you are unhappy with your item delivered in any way, please contact Booklover Oxford by email: email@example.com to discuss or outline your complaint. We will then try to resolve the matter fairly and to your satisfaction. During the weekend and bank holidays we may not be able to respond to your comments, but we will respond as soon as possible.
If you are still unhappy with your purchase after discussing the matter with Booklover Oxford then please return the item to: The Booklover, 2 Shepherds Pool, Evesham, Worcs WR11 4JG, UK. We suggest you use the original postal packaging and re-seal (or if you prefer use your own secure envelope/packaging) and get proof of postage.
When we have received the returned item we will then refund the full purchase price and original delivery cost. There will be no other cancellation charges, however we will not refund return postage costs.
UK and EU distance selling regulations state that online shoppers have a statutory “cooling-off” period of seven working days. You can cancel an online transaction and receive a refund anytime in the first seven working days from the date of receiving the item.
You are required to notify Booklover Oxford in writing if you require a refund and you have a responsibility to take reasonable care of the items you purchased and return the item to The Booklover 2 Shepherds Pool, Evesham, Worcs WR11 4JG, UK.
This returns policy does not affect your statutory legal rights.
